OCEANSIDE ---- Tri-City Medical Center has received accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers, making it the only hospital in San Diego County to receive the distinction.

According to a statement released by Tri-City management, the hospital demonstrated that it met or exceeded a set of criteria and passed on-site evaluations administered by society staff.

Those criteria included quick patient treatment and diagnoses, supporting community outreach programs and integrating the hospital's emergency department with the local emergency medical system.
