VISTA ---- A car slammed into a telephone pole Monday, causing a brief power outage and backing up traffic for nearly two hours, sheriff's Lt. Anthony Ray said.
VISTA: Dryer catches fire in crowded house; no injuries

VISTA ---- An outside clothes dryer caught fire with five people in the house Monday night, but all escaped safely and the damage to the house was minimal, said fire Capt. Ned Vander Pol.
