With her background in education, Francine Busby was the right person to ask. She had thoughtful solutions to this and other complex problems. You all want to blame everything on that and ignore everything else. And you don't even do a good job of researching that or you'd learn from articles like this one ( http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2006/08/10/news/sandiego/3_00_008_7_06.txt ) that Brian Bilbray has been using you all and supports "amnest" as you call it like many other Republicans do (and more likely to help corporations get cheap labor than anyone else). Education is probably more of a problem as a result of continuing to underfund property taxes (and therefore education) which will continue as long as corporate landowners are the big winner from prop 13 at new home buyer's expense. And I'm sure you'll love our Busby or other bumper stickers in the coming months when we have to replace both Bilbray and Duncan Hunter when they get indictments. That seems to be the pattern around here. If you want someone that REALLY speaks for how we should feel about immigration, look up Thom Hartman and his comments on record.

Most people who don't live in the 50th CD apparently think we need a practical, workable solution to illegal immigration, not just a lot of angry, hate-filled slogans and rhetoric and fences that will do nothing but distribute billions of taxpayer dollars to a some very lucky contractors.
