Edward Keefe Sr., 62
VISTA -- Edward Keefe Sr., 62, died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at San Diego Hospice of cancer.
Born Oct. 20, 1942, in Kingston, Pa., he was a machinist and retired in October 2001.
Mr. Keefe was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Keefe, Jan. 13, 2003; and daughter Billy Joe Keefe, Oct. 6, 1969.
He is survived by his sons, Edward Keefe, Ronald Keefe and Kevin Keefe, all of Vista; and sister Helen Briggs of Nanticoke, Pa.
Inurnment will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego with the Rev. Jesus Campa officiating.
American Cremation is handling arrangements.
Rebecca Dyer, 52
FALLBROOK -- Rebecca Basilo Dyer, 52, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Fallbrook Hospital.
Born July 12, 1952, in the Philippines, she lived in Fallbrook for 16 years. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Dyer is survived by her husband of 16 years, Jesse Riley of Fallbrook; and son Richard A. Dyer of Blythe.
No services are planned.

David Sandoval Sr., 68
ESCONDIDO -- David Sandoval Sr., 68, died Monday, May 16, 2005.
Born Sept. 7, 1936, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, he lived in Escondido for two years. He retired in 1997 from the Lake San Marcos Country Club.
Mr. Sandoval was preceded in death by his brother, Antonio Sandoval, in January 2004.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Martha Sandoval of Escondido; father Fernando Sandoval of Whittier; sons and daughter-in-law Fernando and Liz Sandoval of Murrieta and Daniel Sandoval of San Diego; daughters and sons-in-law Naomi and Clenel Williams and Martha and Mike Black, all of Vista; brothers and sisters-in-law Ismael and Leticia Sandoval, Javier and Christina Sandoval and Enrique and Rosa Sandoval, all of Whittier, and Jesus and Tona Sandoval of Aguascalientes; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Viewing is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. and rosary recited from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Eternal Hills Mortuary.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 23, at St. Mary's Church, 1160 S. Broadway in Escondido with the Rev. Gustavo Benitez officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Anna Fisher, 47
OCEANSIDE -- Anna Marie Fisher, 47, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005.
Born March 19, 1958, in Trenton, Mich., she lived in Oceanside for 12 years. She graduated from Riverside University magna cum laude. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ms. Fisher is survived by her parents, Mary and Richard Fisher of Vista; brothers and sister-in-law Leon and Marcia Fisher of Poway and Timothy Fisher of Vista; and sister Michell Fisher-Lape of Vista.
A memorial will be announced at a later.

Xiuwen Chen, 81
OCEANSIDE -- Xiuwen Chen, 81, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, in Vista.
Born June 20, 1923, in Fujian, Fuzhou, China, he lived in Oceanside for five years.
Mr. Chen was preceded in death by his wife, Huifen Huang, in 1998.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Wei Chen and Yaping Shen of Dalian, China; daughter and son-in-law Ai Chen and Shan Jiang of Oceanside; brothers Xiuming Chen of Fuzhou and Xiuang Chen of Chongqin, China; sister Han-Sing Chen Liao of Princeton, N.J.; and grandchildren Zhenhua and Miranda.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday May 25 at North Coast Methodist Church, 1501 Kelly St. in Oceanside. A private cremation is planned.

William de Jong, 36
ESCONDIDO -- William de Jong, 36, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, of natural causes.
He was born Nov. 2, 1968, in Escondido. He was a dairyman for 15 years.
He was associated with the Hollandia Dairy in San Pasqual from 1988 to 1995 and the Hollandia Dairy in San Marcos from 1995 to 1999. He was a partner in the Cloverdale Dairy in Hanford from 1999 to 2004.
Mr. de Jong is survived by his wife of 13 years, Sandra de Jong of Escondido; parents Rena and Pete de Jong of San Marcos; sons Tyler de Jong, Gerrit de Jong, Jacob de Jong and Matthew de Jong, all of Escondido; daughter Josina de Jong of Escondido; brothers and sister-in-law Arie and Carol de Jong of Visalia, Gerrit de Jong of Tulare and Peter de Jong of Hanford; and sisters and brothers-in-law Jeanne and Theo deHaan of Hanford, Marjie and Gilbert denDulk of De Motte, Ind., and Elsie and Mark Bousema of San Marcos.
Burial is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Stephen Donovan officiating.
A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. at the Escondido United Reformed Church with the Rev. Philip Vos officiating.
The family suggests donations to the Calvin Christian School Endowment Fund, 2000 N. Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025, or the Hanford Christian School, 11948 Flint Ave., Hanford, CA 93230.

Jon Clayton Rodarme
Jon Clayton Rodarme was born July 28, 1947, in Joplin, Missouri. Jon passed away suddenly in Wildomar on May 18 from a heart attack. The family wishes to express their utmost gratitude to Lois Peres and all of the neighbors, emergency medical technicians and doctors who tried to save Jon.
Jon is survived by his wife of 35 years, Edy (Wauschek) of Wildomar; daughters Jennifer Hutchinson of Goleta, and Elaine Brazele of Lake Elsinore; sons Robert and Andrew of Wildomar and Joseph of Scott AFB, Illinois. He loved his three grandchildren dearly: Brendan Hutchinson, Lauren Brazele and Autumn Brazele. A brother, Gordon, is deceased. He leaves sister, Evelyn Ligget of Joplin, Mo., and Julie Rodarme of Yreka, Calif., as well as his family at heart, Nancy Wise of Joplin, Mo., Pat Raguse of Yreka, Calif., and Bob Ligget of Joplin, Mo.
No services are planned, in honor of Jon's request.

Carole Sala
Carole Sala, 72 passed away peacefully in her home in Oceanside on Sunday, May 15, 2005.
Born in New York on July 27, 1933, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, as well as an active member of our Lady of the Lake church and choir while living in Lake Arrowhead, Calif.
Carole is survived by her loving husband, Ted Sala, with whom she spent 33 wonderful years together as well as her older sister, Helen Morrison and younger brother, Bob Weigand. Carole's children, Steve Mulcare, Kathy Baumgartner, Cindy Baltimore, Paul Sala, and John Sala. Carole's grandchildren, Teri Fleiss, Maria Davis, Lori Rosano, Katie Mulcare, Tiffany and Kimberly Baltimore, Nick, Alex and Ashlyn Sala and great grandchildren Brandon and Taylor Fleiss.
Carole was an incredible person with strong faith, a loving heart, and an amazing love for her family. She loved singing, music, needlepoint and laughing with family. Carole had an incredible smile, a beautiful voice, and a comforting touch. She had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Carole always made those around her feel better, calmer and happier when you heard her soft giggle and sweet words. She will be missed more than words could express.

Carol Rodriguez, 95
SAN MARCOS - Carol Irene Rodriguez, 95, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Escondido of natural causes.
Born March 11, 1910, in Redondo Beach, she lived in San Marcos for 34 years.
She was a court clerk for the Los Angeles Criminal Court for 16 years.
She served in the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant during World War II and the Korean War. She was a founding member of Grace Episcopal Church of the Valley in San Marcos.
Ms. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Rodriguez, in 1978.
She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Treder of San Marcos; and brother John Edwards of Oceanside.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Grace Episcopal Church of San Marcos, 1020 Rose Ranch Road in San Marcos.
A private cremation is planned.
